The idea for eight monkeys was conceived by Pia and Eva, twin sisters from Angered in Gothenburg, who are also parents. They felt that children’s products were expensive and that brands were exploiting their monopoly in the market. Simply put, they couldn’t afford to buy good baby products.

From the beginning, the focus was on offering the most essential baby products at an affordable price. In partnership with suppliers and manufacturers, we aim for the right quality that endures over time. Our products are environmentally friendly and of high quality, priced reasonably so that as many families as possible can afford them and make their daily lives easier.

Eight monkeys has no intermediaries; we work directly with factories for development. We also sell online to further reduce costs. We have our own purchasing offices in Sweden, Poland, and China, allowing us to develop more quickly on site and ensure quality control in each country.

Transparency is vital to us, which is why we openly say that we source products from various countries, including China. Many of us have been working with China for over thirty years, witnessing the transformations and developments there. China takes on a far greater responsibility for the environment and their employees than what we sometimes imply and write about. We also source products from Europe, and even components from Sweden for our breast pump, set to launch in 2024. Sustainability and quality are, and will remain, important to us.

We at eight monkeys find joy in our work and are more than happy to share our passion for children, babies, and their products. Children and their parents are always our top priority. After all, children are our most valuable asset, ensuring the future of both the Earth and the environment.
